The Philippine Alliance of Full Gospel Churches (PAFGC) held their annual leadership summit in the city of Tagaytay (about one hour south of Manilla), February 21 and 22. Gathering together were leadership of 18 church ministries. Some were representing single congregations and independent ministries while others were in representation of whole church fellowships. While the majority were from the Northern Luzon area, others gathered in from the North and the far South areas of the country. Pastors Simeon and Marissa Strauser were in attendance from the USA in representation of the Full Gospel Assemblies (FGA), sponsor of the PAFGC.

The time together included two days of prayer for the Philippines, workshops for the pastoral leadership, worship and ministry planning. Pastor Simeon Strauser, International Chairman, shared the vision of joining ‘churches on fire for the Lord’ for reaching throughout the Philippines with the gospel of Christ Jesus. Encouraging the ministers and pastors in their respective callings included Ptr. Wilfredo Cal of Lift Jesus Higher Fellowship (Bacolod, Negros) and Ptr. Vincent Clarito of Hope of Glory Church and Christian School (Calamba, Laguna), each serving as Regional Directors for the PAFGC.

The call for effective and efficient means of training up church workers and missionaries to reach throughout the Philippines and beyond was answered by the implementation of a joint program with Full Gospel Bible Institute, the school of ministry of FGA. Those in attendance rejoiced and gave thanks before the Lord for the ‘birthing of a renewed vision and commitment to link arms in ministry to the communities which we serve throughout the land of the Philippines.’ Watch for more coming events and developments from the Philippine Alliance of Full Gospel Churches. More information for congregations and fellowship interested in joining in as partners of the PAFGC may be found at pafgc.org.
