How does a Spirit-filled and Spirit-led life looks like? It is a life filled with awe-inspired reverence and obedience to God Most High. It is a life that puts God and His Kingdom first and doesn’t worry about the cares of the world. This kind of life is exemplified by the Taysan Full Gospel Church in Batangas, Philippines.
Everyday the church conducts prayer and worship gatherings in the morning and in the evening. At the moment, these gatherings are being done online because of stringent restrictions by the government regarding mass gatherings. But every time that restrictions are lifted, the church meets face to face in their sanctuary. At this time of pandemic, church attendance all over the world has significantly declined, but not so for Taysan Full Gospel Church. All glory to God! The church continues to grow as each member, young and old, takes evangelism and discipleship to heart.

Each time the church meets face to face, the space where they meet becomes more and more tight because new people are constantly added. Good thing, by God’s grace, Taysan Full Gospel church will soon have a larger and fully functional facility! By way of a gracious donation through Full Gospel Assemblies home office / USA, plans are underway for the purchase of a piece of land and subsequent construction of a new church building as soon as resources are available and restrictions have loosened.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…
Matthew 28:19

The growth of Taysan Full Gospel church happens not just within their local church, but also in different areas as they do outreaches, following in the command of our Lord Jesus. They have an outreach in Tubahan (now Leviste) in Rosario, Batangas. They travel for about an hour by foot because there are no transportations that go to that place. In addition, the way is narrow and steep. Regular evangelism from house to house to share the gospel and disciple new believers is an ongoing work of ministry as this new congregation begins to grow.
Another outreach is in Bulihan, Rosario, Batangas. This outreach started last December 2020 when the Holy Spirit prompted the church to give Christmas Noche Buena packs to the families there, especially to the most needy. Each Christmas pack contained usual food items that Filipinos enjoy during Christmas. But of course, the most important gift that the church gave was the gospel of Jesus Christ. As the church follows the Holy Spirit’s leading in Bulihan, God never ceases to amaze them at how fertile the hearts of the people are. Every time they do Bible studies, they see people’s lives being transformed by Jesus.
At the moment, the church cannot visit Bulihan because of travel restrictions and because of a continued rise of Covid cases. However, this has worked for the greater good, as Manilyn Bolongaita, a young believer in Bulihan took the initiative to lead Bible studies for this new outreach. What she is offering is, whatever she learns from those who disciple her, she teaches to others. This is 2 Timothy 2:2 in action!
Praise God for all His works. Truly, when God is our Master, when God is the one who truly leads and fills us, His name is glorified and our lives are filled with true meaning. May the example of Taysan Full Gospel Church remind us always to give the reverence, obedience, and honor that God alone truly deserves.
