Praise be to God who faithfully directs His people and honors their faithfulness as they spread the knowledge of His glory! FG Pastor – Robert Fetty, is giving God praise today for the opportunity to proclaim the word of God during these challenging times. In 2018, Pastor Robert Fetty, with his wife Lita began ministering in the Transition Personal Care facilities in Washington, Pennsylvania. They later founded The Light of Christ Full Gospel Church ministry. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Pennsylvania was placed under the stay-at-home order. To continue the sharing of the Word in the community, Pastor Robert launched a Tuesday Bible study via Facebook Live in early April. And on Easter Sunday, April 12, the Church began offering online Sunday services using the same social media platform.
Also, during this time, God opened the door for front-line ministry as Chaplain with the local Fire Department. Pastor Robert can state with joy that this additional ministry is very special in that he is a 27 year veteran with this department!
As months passed by, more opportunities to make the Lord known came. Recently, on September 10, the church began broadcasting ten-minute devotionals every Thursday at 6pm. To date, the online Sunday services, Bible studies and weekly devotionals continue as the Lord faithfully brings viewers who are yearning to hear the Word of God. The online services and devotionals have been regularly viewed by 70 or more participants.
In continuing to give God praise for His hand at work, Pastor Fetty speaks of the latest of developments. As the online ministries have developed since April, the Lord has been speaking to Pastor Fetty with regard to seeking opportunity for in-person study and worship.
With a change in restrictions across Pennsylvania by early October, the Lord provided a venue for the Light of Christ Full Gospel Church to open with in-person gatherings. The General Manager of the Washington-Meadow Lands Holiday Inn Express welcomed the church with open arms! So beginning October 13, 2020, the church held their first in-person Bible study in Holiday Inn. To God be all the glory! This enthusiastic body of Christ is believing that this is just the beginning of God’s manifest power upon the new ministry to an area in need. They look forward to persevering in sharing the Gospel of Jesus throughout this community. As we are encouraged and rejoice in all these things, Pastor Robert and his wife Lita are standing upon the promise of God…“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” – Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV.
