Seeking God Together: Full Gospel Assemblies Forms Next Generation Commission

From Chairman Simeon Strauser:

The importance of walking in the encouragement of our fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord, is given to every believer for the strengthening of the body.  Hebrews 10:24-25 states; ‘And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near’.

As Full Gospel Assemblies now progresses toward the year of 2021, we are able to look back over 50+ years since the inception of the Fellowship, giving the Lord God all praise for where He has brought the church fellowship to.  The history of the Full Gospel Assemblies is rich in the wondrous works of our Lord God.  We give praise for the sound Full Gospel – Pentecostal heritage, built by the Spirit led servants of the Lord who planted the foundation which is being built upon today.  Over the many years, God has raised up a faithful people that have taken the gospel message into the four corners of the globe.  Today, the fellowship ministry of Full Gospel Assemblies, anchored in the north eastern United States, touches into Latin America, West Indies, Asia, and Africa.  The ministries of raising up congregations, developing regional alliances, church planting, and educating and growing the servants of God for the full work of the ministry is now poised for a great season of harvest ahead.  As Full Gospel clergy, students and congregations throughout the world continue to unite together to do the will of our Lord God Almighty, we shall open our eyes (John 4) and look at the fields, for they are ripe for harvest!

In assessment of the work ahead, for the fulfillment of the Full Gospel vision to build up the people of God wherever God leads – To strengthen the Full Gospel Assemblies, world-wide, for the breaking of new ground – it is understood by the FG Leadership Council that we have crossed into the season where our Lord God is directing for an emphasis to be placed on the Next Generation.  For the undertaking of assisting to guide the Full Gospel Assemblies into this season ahead, the FG Leadership Council has brought together a team of clergy, seasoned for the vision, and prepared for task.

This working team of FG clergy will be recognized as the FG Next-Gen Commission.  The Next-Gen Commission, commencing June 2020, will join together for a 2 yr appointment, collaborating as a think tank, charged with the ministry of advisement, strategic development, research and encouragement, serving the FG Leadership Council and thus, the body at large.  All for the seeking of the wisdom and power of our Lord God for the strengthening and building of church fellowship of Full Gospel Assemblies for the Next Generation.

We are blessed to welcome the following FG pastors and ministers to the Next-Gen Commission:  Timmy Maier (Bluffview Center of Hope Church, WI), Pat Atwell (Barkersville Christian Church, NY), Cindy Smith (Family Hospice, PA), Brian Alexander (Monroe Center Community Church, IL), Terry Blake (Shepherd’s Gate Ministry, WV), and Joel Leitch (Hope Church & JSL Ministries, OK).  Please join with me today, praying for the members of this Commission, that they may have a special anointing of the Holy Spirit poured out into their hearts as they serve the body of Christ through their commissioning to this ministry.
